This circular sets out how the capital grant for improving information management in social services is to be allocated and provides conditions for use of the grant by councils. This circular should be cancelled on 30 September 2009.
This circular contains 4 appendices: Appendix A: Determination for the grant and its conditions; Appendix B: Final statement for 2006/07; Appendix C: Allocations for 2007/08 ; Appendix D: Spending plan pro-forma
LASSL(2005)6, issued on 5 December 2005, announced the extension of the grant and that £25m would be paid in 2006/07 and 2007/08 to Councils with Social Service Responsibilities (CSSRs) for the purposes of the development, improvement or acquisition of systems for improving information management.
