LASSL (2003)8: Personal social services funding for adults 2004-05

This letter sets out the main aspects of the 2004-05 local government finance settlement which are relevant to the funding provided for social services. The figures for adults' Personal Social Services Formula Spending Share (PSS FSS), grant allocations where available and other details for each authority appear in the Annexes. Annex A sets out adults' FSS, grants and capital provision for 2003-04 to 2005-06. Figures for 2005-06 are planning figures. This letter should be read in tandem with the letter being sent to local authorities by the Department for Education and Skills (LASSL(2003)7), which covers children's PSS FSS and grant allocations. Together with this letter, the LASSL from the DfES provides details of the total PSS FSS and grant allocations.
