The Care Standards Act 2000 ('the 2000 Act') provides powers for the introduction of new regulations and national minimum standards for social care and independent health care services in England and Wales. This letter announces the publication for consultation of the following documents, which implement the 2000 Act in respect of adoption: 1. Draft regulations and national minimum standards for local authority adoption services in England ; 2. Draft regulations and national minimum standards for voluntary adoption agencies in England and Wales and Regulatory Impact Assessment
