The Care Standards Act 2000 (CSA) provides powers for the introduction of new regulations and standards for social care and independent health care services. This is the second tranche in the series of consultation documents on the new regulations and national minimum standards for services to be regulated. This letter announces the publication for consultation of the following documents: 1. Draft Registration regulations for CSA Part II providers and Regulatory Impact Assessment; 2. Draft regulations and national minimum standards for Foster Care Services - including Local Authority fostering services and Regulatory Impact Assessment; 3. Frequencies of Inspection and Regulatory Fees.
