This letter informs Councils with Social Services Responsibilities (CSSRs) of arrangements, via a bidding process, for the allocation of up to £3 million in 2005/06 to support the development of a fourth tranche of Multi-dimensional Treatment Foster Care (England) Programmes. This letter will be cancelled on 31 March 2008.
Although many of the Department of Health's Children and Families functions have transferred to the Department for Education and Skills (DfES), these circulars will continue to be issued in the Local Authority Social Services Letter (LASSL) series for the forseeable future.
