This letter sets out local authority allocations of the social care and mental health elements of the single capital pot in respect of 2008-09 and provisional allocations in respect of 2009-10 and 2010-11. Details of the allocations, by local authority, are provided in Annex to this circular.
LASSL(DH)(2007)2 and LASSL(DH)(2007)3 are issued to follow up the overall Local Government Finance Settlement announced in Parliament on 06 December 2007.
LASSL(DH)(2007)2 notifies local authorities of both their adults’ Personal Social Services specific revenue and capital grant funding, and their children’s PSS funding insofar as this is provided by the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) grant.
LASSL(DH)(2007)3 sets out how we propose to distribute the social care and mental health elements of the single capital pot.
