This document invites NHS Trusts to apply to participate in the scheme to modernise NHS hearing aid services. The purpose of this project is to: develop a modern and effective NHS service for hearing impaired people based on the principles of a new NHS; evaluate the benefits and costs of providing digital signal processing (DSP) hearing aids within the new service; and establish efficient and effective supply mechanisms.
