Patient safety and reduction of risk of transmission of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) via interventional procedures and advice from DH Engineering and Science Advisory Committee-Prion Removal (ESAC-Pr)

This letter is a reminder that centres providing neurological and eye surgery should be developing arrangements to implement the above NICE guidance and sets out the Department’s plans to issue further advice on decontamination in 2007.
