This letter is provides an update on several important immunisation issues, namely the introduction of a pre-school acellular pertussis, booster immunisation, thiomersal in vaccines, MMR vaccine update, current meningitis issues, prevention of meningococcal infection associated with the annual Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, and winter rise in meningitis.
