This is the eighth Report to Parliament on the Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Scheme (PPRS). The first report was published in May 1996 following a recommendation by the Health Committee that the 'Department of Health should introduce greater transparency into the PPRS by publishing an annual report on the scheme'. Since then the Department has submitted reports to Parliament in December most years. The Department published the seventh report in December 2003.
