This impact assessment covers the new Cancer Reform Strategy (CRS) published by the Government on 3 December 2007. The CRS sets out the Government’s vision for the future of cancer services. The aims include saving lives, improving experience of care, reducing inequalities, building for the future, ensuring choice, quality and equity,prevention and early detection, and reconfiguring services. The intended effects are improved cancer outcomes, a better patient and survivor experience, and more cost-effective treatments.
