Directions in exercise of the powers conferred to The Secretary of State for Health by the National Health Act 1977 defining the functions required of the NHS Business Services Authority.

Functions in relation to: the establishment of a counter fraud and security management service division; hosting and shared services; NHS bursary, the NHS injury benefit scheme and the NHS pension scheme; pharmaceutical claims processing and pharmaceutical services; the NHS supply chain; and relevant primary dental services and dental vocational training.
