Details
Following the Government’s listening exercise on the Health and Social Care Bill, the NHS Future Forum published their recommendations on the future for NHS modernisation. The Government published its response on 20 June, setting out the changes it intends to make in response to the recommendations. The notes describe the purpose and effect of the amendments, following the structure of the Government response. A fuller description of the context for the amendments and of the other changes to the modernisation plans is provided by the response.
Three additional Government amendments were tabled on 7 July 2011. The Government has produced an addendum to the briefing notes document to accompany these amendments.
A set of Government amendments to the Bill was handed in on 31 August for debate during Commons Report.
