These Directions apply to any complaint made on or after 1 October 2002. Every Trust is required to make arrangements in accordance with the provisions of these Directions for dealing with complaints. The arrangements should ensure that complainants are treated courteously and sympathetically by any person to whom they make their complaints and that their complaints are properly addressed.
