The guide to applicants has been developed by Monitor and the Department of Health for NHS trust organisations to provide them with a comprehensive document which explains the application process and the requirements to achieve NHS foundation trust status.  

This document covers all of the stages of the application process from the Department of Health pre-submission phase, through to Monitor’s assessment process and the application outcome.
