Our health, our care, our say – one year on: research report

Following the publication of the White Paper Our health, our care, our say: A new direction for community services, the Secretary of State made a commitment to report back on the progress the DH had made on their proposals. In March 2007, Opinion Leader brought together a random selection of the people who took part in the original deliberative events informing the development of the White Paper. The main aim of the event was for participants to review progress in the implementation of key elements of the White Paper, to inform them about some of the pilot initiatives happening around the country, invite discussion and debate about progress, put forward priorities for the next 12 months and discuss issues going forwards, particularly around the case for changing the shape of services.
