Department of Health Ministers have carefully considered all the representations received during consultation and have decided the following technology appraisals should be added to NICE’s work programme:

Single technology appraisals

  • Lenalidomide (Revlimid) in combination with dexamethasone (Decadron) for the treatment of multiple myeloma
    To appraise the clinical and cost effectiveness of lenalidomide within its licensed indication in combination with dexamethasone for the treatment of multiple myeloma in people who have received at least one prior therapy.
  • Lapatinib (Tyverb) in combination with letrozole (Femara) for the first-line treatment of metastatic hormone-sensitive breast cancer
    To appraise the clinical and cost effectiveness of lapatinib within its licensed indication in combination with letrozole for the first-line treatment of metastatic hormone-sensitive breast cancer.
  • Capecitabine (Xeloda) for advanced pancreatic cancer
    To appraise the clinical and cost effectiveness of capecitabine within its licensed indication for the treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer.
  • Cetuximab (Erbitux) for the first-line treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer
    To appraise the clinical and cost effectiveness of cetuximab within its licensed indication for the first-line treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer
  • Cetuximab (Erbitux) for the treatment of advanced non small cell lung cancer
    To appraise the clinical and cost effectiveness of cetuximab within its licensed indication for the treatment of advanced non small cell lung cancer.
  • Ixabepilone (BMS-247550) for treatment of metastatic or locally advanced breast cancer.
    To appraise the clinical and cost effectiveness of ixabepilone within its licensed indication for the treatment of metastatic or locally advanced breast cancer.
  • Dabigatran (Rendix) etexilate (Pradaxa) for the prevention of venous thromboembolism
    To appraise the clinical and cost effectiveness of dabigatran etexilate within its licensed indication for the prevention of venous thromboembolism after elective hip or knee replacement surgery in adults.
