The Health Act 2006 ensures that the delegated body countering fraud and security incidents and breaches (NHS CFSMS) is able to effectively deal with the majority of cases itself by providing a power to require the production of documents from all NHS bodies, and those providing NHS services under contract. This draft code, on which we are consulting, sets out good practice guidance for the use of these powers.
