General Dental Services Statement of Financial Entitlements and Personal Dental Services Statement of Financial Entitlements 2009

New GDS and PDS Statements of Financial Entitlements, including uplift to 2009-10 prices, have now been published. Both SFEs will supersede the current versions with effect from 1 April 2009.  

The main changes are:

Contract and agreement values are increased by 0.21% as recommended by the Review Body on Doctors' and Dentists' Remuneration

• Vocational Trainee salary and Training Grant are increased by 1.5%
• previous calculated contract and agreement values become Negotiated Contract and Agreement Values
• Seniority Scheme, including new entrants, is extended until 31 March 2011
• approval of vocational trainee appointments by the Dental Postgraduate Dean required to ensure priority is given to trainees who must complete VT to remain on a performers list
• extension of paternity leave payments in respect of adoption.
• revised financial reconciliation procedures when a contract or agreement terminates
