Details

The Youth Justice Liaison and Diversion (YJLD) pilot scheme was developed in 2008 to:

• enhance health provision within the youth justice system

• facilitate help, at the earliest opportunity after they enter the youth justice system, for children and young people with:

  • mental health and developmental problems
  • speech and communication difficulties, learning disabilities
  • other similar vulnerabilities
