This document sets out good practice guidelines for social and health care services when dealing with deafblindness in the elderly. It looks at the need for better provision in care and strategies for setting up new services. The development of existing sensory services are examined. The relevant issues when making general services available to deafblind users are considered, such as building and equipment design. A strategic approach to service planning is recommended.
