This is a report on a workshop held in February 2002 following additional funding for training district and community nurses in the principles and practice of palliative care. This commitment, an outcome of the NHS Cancer Plan, allowed 34 Cancer Networks to come together to discuss common experiences and find ways to tackle any problems in that they were experiencing in their work.
