Guide to integrating community equipment services

This document follows on from the intermediate care guidance and is for the attention of all chief executives and senior officers of councils providing social services and housing services; chief executives of health authorities, NHS trusts and PCG/Ts, and those involved in the management and delivery of intermediate care and equipment services for disabled people of all ages. The document describes the background to the community equipment services aspects of the intermediate care guidance. Sets out the vision for the scope of services that users should except to receive. Indicates the steps that organisations will need to take to achieve the vision, and arrangements that will be put in place to support and monitor them. Cites ten references.
