This report on a preliminary survey of the first wave EPP PCT pilot sites to assess how the EPP was being embedded in the NHS forms the first stage in a much bigger programme of research and is being followed by a randomised controlled trial spread over 24 months and qualitative investigations which will analyse in greater depth and detail the outcomes of EPP and the process of establishing it in England as part of mainstream NHS activity.
