Information for NHS and Social Care Employers following Recent Judgment in the ECJ

This note sets out the implications for NHS and Social Care staff, including those who work in care homes, of a recent judgement in the European Court of Justice, the Jaeger judgement. This note should be read in conjunction with circular HSC 1998/204 and its associated guidance, and with the working time regulations.
