Independent health care: national minimum standards, regulations

This document sets out regulations and national minimum standards for independent health care, which the Healthcare Commission use to determine whether providers of private and voluntary health care have in place appropriate safeguards and quality assurance arrangements for their patients. The regulations and standards apply to independent health care establishments for which registration is required under the Care Standards Act 2000.
