Interim Report from National Steering Group, co-chaired by the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the National Institute of Mental Health in England with the Changing Workforce Programme. Provides guidance to Trusts, consultant psychiatrists and other professionals on issues, such as medical responsibility and new models in order to promote flexibility for local practice to address shortages in psychiatrists and the need to work differently. This guidance has been produced to ensure that all staff active in Mental Health and Social Care are working most effectively, through implementing evidence and values based practice, to improve the quality of life and the service experience of people using mental health services, their families and supporters.
