Government Response to House of Commons Health Committee Report on Palliative Care Fourth Report of Session 2003-04

This Command Paper sets out the Government's response to the Health Select Committee report on Palliative Care. The Health Select Committee inquiry has provided a valuable opportunity to review where we are in the development of palliative care services - in the NHS, in the voluntary sector and in the community - to assess and understand the various strengths and weaknesses of this important and highly valued service provision, and to address and consider the challenges for the future.
