Signposting to Prison Health : Learning from Wave 1 - Transfer

This booklet refers to the national guidance that has been developed and the learning from the process to date. It gathers together existing key documents, guidance, updates and best practice in support of the transfer of prison health commissioning from the Prison Service to the NHS. It is not intended as a definitive document but a snapshot in time using existing documentation. The intention is to add to the booklet on a regular basis. The booklet covers the transfer in prisons in England only although it is circulated to colleagues in Wales for information. Booklet includes an introductory letter from Richard Bradshaw, Acting Director of Prison Health.
