Consultant contract implementation: Result of Department of Health national survey, position at 24 October 2004

The Department of Health has published a report showing findings from the national survey on implementation of the new consultant contract. The survey was undertaken to establish the position as at 29 October 2004 to help strategic health authorities (SHAs) and the Department identify implementation issues and progress towards achieving maximum sign up to the contract. The findings reflect the significant work that has gone into implementation, and help to identify local issues to assist the NHS with job planning.
