This paper reports the final results of a national postal survey of English NHS trusts and private sector hospital providers sent out in February 2005 with a reminder in April 2005. The survey aimed to scope the extent of existing links with less developed countries, the benefits of these links and the barriers to developing further links as well as specific responses to the Asian earthquake.
