The National Specialist Commissioning Advisory Group (NSCAG) has responsibility for commissioning heart and lung transplant services on a framework of common clinical standards, to ensure that patients receive services that match the evidence of the best care available, and so that providers know how to develop those services. These standards replace those issued in September 2002.
