This supplementary information to the Commissioning A Patient-Led NHS (CPLNHS) human resources (HR) framework (published in December 2005) is about the HR implications of CPLNHS for primary care trust (PCT) chief executives. It outlines the process that will be followed for appointing chief executives to reconfigured PCTs. It also explains that there will be an integrated process for reviewing board level leadership in unreconfigured PCTs, as part of the PCT Fitness for Purpose (FfP) programme.
