The purpose of the leaflet "Terrorism and Insurance - what you need to know" is to inform NHS staff in England and Wales about the financial support they could currently expect to receive if they were injured or killed in the course of their duties, as a result of an act of terrorism. A project group (chaired by the Emergency Preparedness Division) is currently reviewing a number of options specifically aimed at ensuring NHS staff responding to an act of terrorism remain financially protected.
