This is the first national guidance on talent and leadership planning for the NHS. Strategic health authorities (SHAs) have a key role to play in fostering investment and collaboration so that the right conditions are in place for improving talent and leadership development. The guidance has been designed with four SHA health economies and system-wide engagement to provide a framework for developing talent and leadership plans.
