PSS User Experience Survey

This document sets out the actions authorities will need to perform during 2001-2002 to survey service users and provide information to the Department of Health for two Performance Assessment Framework(PAF)/Best Value(BV) performance indicators.

Summary of the survey

  • the people to be surveyed are all new clients assessed during November 2001
  • they are to be given/posted forms two-three months after assessment, during January/February 2002
  • forms to be posted back to the authority, with chasing as necessary
  • the authority to send summarised data to the Department of Health by end May 2002
  • published in the PAF

The two performance indicators based on the survey are:

  • users/carers who said they got help quickly (PAF D36/BVPI 57)
  • users/carers who said that matters relating to race, culture or religion were noted (PAF E46/BVPI 60)
