Communicable diseases and blood services

The Communicable Diseases Branch is responsible for developing policy for the surveillance, prevention, and control of communicable diseases; blood supplies and their safety; and the health service response to bioterrorism.
Training
The Communicable Diseases Branch provides short term training opportunities in public health, either on secondment or working on Departmental projects. These opportunities are available for Specialist Registrars/Trainees in public health and microbiology.
