Animal Procedures Committee
The Animal Procedures Committee (APC) is an advisory, Non-Departmental Public Body established and appointed under the terms of sections 19 and 20 of the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986.
Assistive Technology
As technology evolves, the focus of research and development (R&D) in assistive technology - the equipment that may increase the range of activities, independence or well-being of disabled people - is constantly shifting. Recent technological advances means that as well as research into the benefits of specific products, the systems, combinations of technologies and the way assistive technology interfacts with new mainstream technology is also researched.
National Asthma Campaign
The National Asthma Campaign is the leading independent charity funding research into asthma in the UK. It was selected by the Department of Health to manage their £5 million National Research and Development Programme on Asthma Management.
