Paul Burstow the Minister for Care Services has reaffirmed his commitment to 3millionlives at a parliamentary reception event on 19 January 2012 which celebrated the work of the whole system demonstrator programme. He confirmed the approach to delivery of telehealth and telecare, and launched a Concordat between the Department and the telehealth and telecare industry.
Aims
The aim of 3millionlives is to enhance the lives of three million people over the next 5 years by accelerating the roll-out of telehealth and telecare in the NHS and social care.
By working together, the government, NHS and the industry have the expertise to overcome the existing barriers to develop these services for the benefit of millions of people.
