Renewed partnership agreement between health unions, employers and government published

A new partnership agreement, published today by the Social Partnership Forum (SPF), sets out a framework agreed by the Department of Health, NHS employers and NHS trade unions. It describes the partners' shared values and principles for effective joint working.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

The agreement provides a guiding set of principles for the Department, employers and unions to work together at national, regional and local levels. By adopting the principles set out in the partnership agreement, all parties agree to recognise and respect each other’s roles and functions, which are distinct but complementary.
