The HR guidance sets out the principles underpinning transitional arrangements and provides guidance to support NHS leaders in developing local arrangements, providing clarity on how to manage the impact of transition on employees.

Sir Neil McKay CB, Senior Responsible Officer for HR Transition and Chief Executive NHS Midlands and East, has provided HR guidance in relation to management arrangements for a secure transition to the new health and care system.

This follows Sir David Nicholson’s letter to NHS leaders on the implemention of transition arrangements to the service on 13 August 2012 setting out plans for an incremental approach to secure transition to the new health and care system
