Liverpool Care Pathway review to hold sessions with families and carers
The independent review of the Liverpool Care Pathway (LCP) for dying patients is holding sessions for families and carers.
The sessions, in which the review panel will listen to to families’ and carers’ experiences of the LCP, are taking place in London on 7 May, Preston on 16 May and Bristol on 20 May.

If demand is high, places might have to be limited.
In addition to the sessions, the public is being asked to send details of their experiences of the Liverpool Care Pathway, both good and bad. Views are also wanted from professionals, either as individuals or on behalf of organisations.
The deadline for written comments is 5 April 2013.
The Liverpool Care Pathway independent review: public call for evidence was launched on 16 February 2013 to investigate concerns, particularly around accounts of the withdrawal of foods and fluids from dying patients, and the use of financial incentives. It is being chaired by Baroness Neuberger, Senior Rabbi at the West London Synagogue and former Chief Executive of the King’s Fund.
