Dame Sally Davies, Chief Medical OfficerProfessor Dame Sally Davies is Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the UK Government’s principal medical adviser and the professional head of all Directors of Public Health. As well as being CMO, Dame Sally is also Chief Scientific Adviser for the Department of Health.

About Professor Dame Sally Davies: Developed the National Institute for Health Research. Chairs the UK Clinical Research Collaboration and is a member of the Board of the Office for Strategic Coordination of Health Research and of the Medical Research Council. A member of the World Health Organization (WHO) Global Advisory Committee on Health Research; the International Advisory Committee for A*STAR, Singapore; and the Caribbean Health Research Council; and advises many others on research strategy and evaluation, including the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council.
